Summer Series Horse Shows

Returning for the third year, we are excited to offer our Stonewood Summer Series horse shows in 2025!

Designed as a grass roots series, these shows are for riding school students on riding school horses. We strive to provide a welcoming and encouraging environment for riders to experience the format of a rated horse show, but in a low-stress and casual environment. Braiding is not required, and while show attire is encouraged, it is not mandatory.

Divisions offered range from walk/trot and pole patterns up to 2’3, and all divisions are equitation based. Because this is a grass roots show, riders on horses that do not have a lead change are not penalized, equitation and correct riding are the priority!

Ribbons are presented for 1st - 8th in each division, as well champion and reserve champion prizes are presented. Riders accumulate points each show, and at the end of the series the top 3 riders in each division will be presented with year end prizes.

The Summer Series shows are not just open to Stonewood riders, we welcome other riding schools that wish to bring students!

Off-Property Schooling Shows

Stonewood Equestrian offers students the opportunity to attend a select number of off-property schooling shows, giving students the opportunity to compete against riders outside of their existing peer group. The series we attend allow students the opportunity to work towards year-end awards in their respective divisions.

Extended Lesson Program

It is both a large time and financial commitment to move into the competitive world of horseshowing. As an introduction to this very different and often misunderstood facet of the industry, Stonewood Equestrian offers an extended lesson program that allows students to receive more technical lessons in groups of riders with similar competitive goals.

The extended program prepares students for the challenges they may face in a competitive setting by providing instruction specifically geared to emulate this environment.

Lesson groups are comprised of riders participating in the program and riders are mounted on the selected school horse they will be showing at silver series level horse shows. The extended lesson program is a six-month commitment. The program begins April 1st and runs through to September 30th.

The extended lesson program is subject to availability and horse/rider suitability.
